“A Prayer – Thank You God For Your Steadfast Love”:

Dear Lord,
5 Your steadfast love, O LORD, extends to the heavens, your faithfulness to the clouds.
6 Your righteousness is like the mountains of God; your judgments are like the great deep; man and beast you save, O LORD.
7 How precious is your steadfast love, O God! The children of mankind take refuge in the shadow of your wings.
8 They feast on the abundance of your house, and you give them drink from the river of your delights.
9 For with you is the fountain of life; in your light do we see light.
10 Oh, continue your steadfast love to those who know you, and your righteousness to the upright of heart!
11 Let not the foot of arrogance come upon me, nor the hand of the wicked drive me away. In Jesus’ name, amen.

“A Prayer – My Soul Thirsts For You O God”:

1 O God, you are my God; earnestly I seek you; my soul thirsts for you; my flesh faints for you, as in a dry and weary land where there is no water.
2 So I have looked upon you in the sanctuary, beholding your power and glory.
3 Because your steadfast love is better than life, my lips will praise you.
4 So I will bless you as long as I live; in your name I will lift up my hands.
5 My soul will be satisfied as with fat and rich food, and my mouth will praise you with joyful lips,
6 when I remember you upon my bed, and meditate on you in the watches of the night;
7 for you have been my help, and in the shadow of your wings I will sing for joy.
8 My soul clings to you; your right hand upholds me. Amen (Psalm 63 : 1 – 8 – ESV)

“A Prayer of Thanks For God’s Wonderful Creation and Provision”:

Dear God, thank you for the beautiful world you made for us to live in
9. You visit the earth and water it; you greatly enrich it; the river of God is full of water; you provide their grain, for so you have prepared it.
10 You water its furrows abundantly, settling its ridges, softening it with showers, and blessing its growth.
11 You crown the year with your bounty; your wagon tracks overflow with abundance.
12 The pastures of the wilderness overflow, the hills gird themselves with joy,
13 the meadows clothe themselves with flocks, the valleys deck themselves with grain, they shout and sing together for joy. Thank you so much O Lord, amen

Hell: three views

ALL YOU WANT TO KNOW ABOUT HELL

Three Christian Views of God’s Final Solution to the Problem of Sin

By Steve Gregg

You get three complete explanations of the views on hell, the pros and cons of each belief. The author gives a disclaimer at the beginning of the book that his writing is offered as reference of information and not an attack on any of the theories. He offers a list of beliefs and Bible verses on each theory that is to back up those beliefs, it is all in the interpretation of the verses. Some of the information, in my opinion, is an attack on God.

In my opinion the author offered a lot of information and I found that some statements were confusing and others contradicting. I did not enjoy reading the book and would not recommend it. I believe the information could have been presented in a better way.

WAR ON CHRISTMAS

THE WAR ON CHRISTMAS

Battles in Faith, Tradition, and Religious Expression

Edited by Bodie Hodge

Do you know the history behind Christmas traditions? Why we are not to wish a Merry Christmas but instead say Happy Holidays? This book edited by Bodie Hodge is a collection of stories from different writers about why the world is trying to take Christ out of Christmas. The book offers histories on Christmas traditions that we have grown up celebrating and the true reason why we celebrate Christmas. I found the book very interesting reading and informative. The book offers an in-depth study of the Biblical Christmas story. Some things we celebrate and believe have changed over the years as we have heard stories from books, movies and songs. This book is well-written and easy to read and will give you a better understanding of Christmas and why we need to remember the true reason of the season.

Master Books publish the book and I received my copy free from Handlebar Marketing for purpose of this review, I was not required to write a positive review, the opinions I have expressed are my own.

“A Prayer of Commitment”:

Dear Lord, I believe Jesus is the son of God, and that He died for my sins and then rose from the dead. I invite Jesus to become the Lord of my life, to rule and reign in my heart forever. Thank you Jesus for coming into my life and hearing my prayer. I ask you to forgive me for the wrong things I have done, I forgive those who have hurt me. I ask this in the name of my Lord and saviour Jesus Christ, Amen.

“May You be Strengthened With all Power”:

11 May you be strengthened with all power, according to his glorious might, for all endurance and patience with joy,
12 giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of the saints in light.
13 He has delivered us from the domain of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of his beloved Son,
14 in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins. (Colossians 1 : 11 – 14 – ESV)
